Father Lazarus - Watercolor
This is a watercolor painting of a good friend of mine who is an Orthodox monk. I haven't decided whether or not to show him the painting yet, he probably wouldn't want me to post it, but I think it catches his essence well; strong, wise, and prayerful. 18x24, Watercolor, Arches Coldpress

Father In-Law - Watercolor
A watercolor painting of my father-in-law, smoking a cigar in Gettysburg. Ken is a civil war buff who visits Gettysburg two or three times per year. He is a cool guy, I actually was friends with him before I ever met his daughter, a fact he enjoys sharing with people. How many of you would let a friend of yours marry your daughter? 18x24, Watercolor, Arches Hotpress

Young Love
This is a portrait of my sister-in-law and her husband. In the image they were sitting on a curb in Gettysburg waiting for one of the ghost tours to start. They have not yet seen the painting, it was painted from a photograph I took. It's always a risk showing your work to family, they often don't react in a way that you would like. 18x24, Watercolor, Arches Hotpress

Tools of Worship
A small drawing of an incense burner and candles. The drawing is cropped in a fun way however, which creates some abstraction. 4x3, Cotton Rag, Colored Pencil

Sin is Crouching at the Door
This is actually a self portrait. I normally don't like doing self-portraits, but I had fun with this one. I added a little demonic looking figure over my shoulder to spice things up a bit.

Woman Spinning
This is loosely based on a still life...very loosely. It was actually a mannequin, a bicycle tire and some other odds and ends. Its alot of fun to look at ordinary objects and create something that is not really there. 18x24, Pastel
